Winston Churchill was captivated from the moment he visited Chartwell, and Passionately purchased the estate overlooking the Weald of Kent, in September 1922. Since, Chartwell has become the subject of numerouse projects and provided endless visions for Churchill’s art scenes. A “View from Chartwell” was completed in 1938 and first displayed in the Studio at Chartwell.
